Velvet Goldmine [HD]

Lost Innocence?
I don't know if the point of the movie is so much about the supposed "glam-rock era" as to the idea that parts of history have a certain quality to them where, as important as they may seem at the time, it in the end amounts to only a fleeting transition period, where the world moves on and kind of just forgets about it, while getting caught up in the 'next big thing'.
As far as that goes, if you think of that as the real theme, then it is, I think, very impactful and thought provoking.

No Gold in the Goldmine . . .
I often wonder how movies ever get produced when they are this bad. If the storyline doesn't produce at least one character you care about, it goes nowhere. This is a movie you can multi-task to, you won't miss a thing - Sorry . . .

really entertaining!
Glamrock wannabe's bisexual hedonistic rise to stardom. I love Johnathan Rhys Meyers, he is so talented, so beautiful. I'm not certain if he is singing all of the music in this movie but I did recognize his voice on at least one of the songs. I checked the soundtrack and he is not listed at all. He has a really great voice and I'm wondering why they didn't use it.
